One day we took a trip down to Trondheim, an hour and a half away by train. It’s basically a charming university town with some very Nordic features.
Nidarosdomen (Nidaros Cathedral)
In the middle of town stands Olav Trygveson, a king of Norway.
Yes, there is a place called Hell in Norway – it lies between Levanger and Trondheim. I’m not the first person to make jokes about visiting hell and I certainly won’t be the last. I’m pretty please that I can now say that I’ve been to hell and back – and it really wasn’t that bad. So if anyone ever says to you, “That’ll happen when hell freezes over,” or “It’ll be a cold day in hell”…
“Gods-expedition” apparently means “luggage handling” in old Norwegian!
